Phenomenal start for Adventure Golf course at Leeds Castle, UK
The fantastic 12-hole Adventure Golf course at Leeds Castle, near Maidstone, England, opened at Easter on the 13th April 2019. During the two-week break, the historic Castle and its grounds registered a record number of over 45,000 visitors. Of these, 6,525 people chose to play adventure golf on the stunning new course.
The customer, Shane Guy - Head of Tourism at the Leeds Castle Foundation - was delighted that the course’s popularity had exceeded all expectations: "Providing the sun shines all summer long the projected numbers will be around 70,000 players per year!"
The course comprises 12 fun-packed holes with specially-themed obstacles depicting famous landmarks from across the Leeds Castle grounds. These include replicas of the Castle itself, the Maze and Grotto, as well as the Black Swan Ferry, reproduced as a ride-on/ride-off raft.
The course is also fully accessible to guests in wheelchairs or with mobility disabilities.
