Earlier in the summer, the previous mini golf course in the park was removed and replaced by an ultra-modern Adventure Golf course - planned, designed and built by City Golf Europe.
The new 18-hole Adventure Golf course, surrounded by breath-taking mountains, is packed with landmarks and fun features from the Zillertal valley, which are guaranteed to entertain and thrill both young and old alike. Among other things, highlights include a replica of the pilgrimage church of Maria Rast, a giant cheese obstacle, an oversized Tyrolean hat and belt, a miniature cable car and farm, and a water jump. A number of woodcarvings by a local artist distributed around the course provide ideal photo spots. A stream meanders its way through the course connecting a waterfall at one end to a fountain in the middle.
The entire course is built using low-maintenance synthetic turf of the highest quality. Holes are individually shaped with different lengths, resembling a miniaturized version of a real golf course with contoured and undulating playing surfaces. Each hole provides a different putting challenge, with two or more ways of reaching the flag. This offers maximum enjoyment for everyone – from absolute beginners to experienced players.
The Adventure Golf course was an integral part of a large renovation project of the sports and games areas within the park commissioned by the Zell am Ziller municipality in partnership with the local tourism association. City Golf Europe worked together on the project with the main contractor Austrian company, pronatour GmbH.
