Swedish players and teams won big at this year’s World Adventure Golf Masters (WAGM 2019 Kungälv) in Sweden. The overall champion was Gunnar Bengtsson, who previously won the WAGM 2017 in Croatia. In the General Class Men's event, Gunnar took gold after an exciting sudden-death playoff with 2x ex-world champion, Hans Olofsson, who took silver.
Gunnar Bengtsson’s 4th round set a new world record with an awesome round of 19 shots! He also won a gold medal in the Male Senior (with Ricard Lockner taking silver), and a third gold in the National Teams competition as one of the four players in the Swedish team.
City Golf Europe congratulates Gunnar on his astonishing achievement. As the overall champ he won the prize ticket to compete at the MSOP - Major Series of Putting championships in Las Vegas, USA, later this year. We wish him the best of luck!
