Huge success at the 2023 Minigolf World Championships in Sweden

The Minigolf World Championships 2023 in Uppsala last week was a great success, both in terms of sports and marketing.

28 August, 2023

The Minigolf World Championships was held between 22-26 August in Uppsala, Sweden. There were many different types of competitions and many Swedish successes a long the way.

Ulf Kristiansson won gold in stroke play and Carl-Johan Rynér and Karin Olsson won bronze in the same event. Sweden also won the team competition on the men's side and took a bronze on the women's side.

Then Carl-Johan and Karin took a further step and won gold together in Mixed Pairs on 25 August.

A large part of the competitions were played on our product City Competition, our competition-grade felt system produced from pressure-impregnated Swedish pine.

The World Championship attracted top-class players from all over the world and considerable public interest. The championship was also a major media success, with a large number of national and international media reporting on the event before, during and after the championship's final stroke.

Germany was also a great nation that achieved several successes during the Minigolf World Championship. During the Match Play event on the last day, Lukas Neumann stepped forward and won the gold. Our representative during the championship, Johnny Nielsen, congratulated the newly crowned world champion afterwards.
