On the 16th March 2017, City Golf Europe’s project manager, Thomas Black, visited the spectacular Hohenhardter Hof Golf Club in Wiesloch-Baiertal, Germany, to carry out site measurements in preparation for the forthcoming Adventure Golf project there.
More than 180 participants took part at the annual general assembly meeting of the prestigious VDFU organisation (The Association of German Leisure Parks), which was held in Munich on 13th-15th February 2017.
The 7th World Adventure Golf Masters 2017 (WAGM) is due to be held on the Adventure Golf course at the Zaton Holiday Resort in Zaton (Nin), Croatia on 11th – 12th September, 2017. This year, the WAGM will be played at the same location one week before the World Championships General Class on 20th – 23rd September.

It was opened at Bernsteinsee on June 17th: The first Adventure Golf course of its kind within a 300 kilometre radius. A trend is spreading from the USA to Germany.
The first question to be answered is: What actually is Adventure Golf? To put it briefly: The modern form of mini golf, yet "higher, faster, further". The game is played on courses covered with artificial grass - the rules of classic golf apply. The challenge:
Obstacles in landscaped surroundings need to be mastered, creative solutions found and water features crossed. In the USA, one of these trendy courses can be found next to the other - about 15 on a stretch of 1.5 miles in Florida, for instance - in Germany the trend is spreading rapidly. Now also at Bernsteinsee.
The prestigious NVG Innovation Award 2016 was presented to Michel de Meijer, owner of IJsselweide Golf Club and Jurassic Golf Adventure Park, Gouda, on 17th February at the 21st National Golf Congress & Exhibition 2016 in Amersfoort, Holland. The event run by the NVG - the industry and employers' organization for golf course operators - was attended by 300 delegates from the Dutch golf industry including operators, owners, managers, golf professionals, golf contractors, suppliers, and other entrepreneurs.
The jury awarded the NVG Innovation Award 2016 to Jurassic Golf Adventure Park Gouda partly due to the courage Michel showed in accomplishing his Adventure Golf project in Gouda with the goal of making golf more accessible to young people and families.
The 6th World Adventure Golf Masters (WAGM) is due to be held in Prishtina, Kosovo, on the 25th and 26th June 2016. It will be the first major international miniature golf tournament to take place in the country.
The Prishtina minigolf course is an MOS (minigolf open standard) course approved for competition play by the World Minigolf Sport Federation. It is the first and only professional minigolf course in Kosovo. The course was designed and built to the MOS standard by City Golf Europe and opened in the summer of 2010.
A “Golf Actives” survey - carried out recently by Sports Marketing Surveys (SMS) on behalf of the European Tour – produced some very interesting findings. In particular, the study demonstrated that Adventure Golf is not only top of the non-traditional forms of golf being played in the UK, but it is now challenging traditional 9-hole golf courses for numbers of players.
The Adventure Golf facility in the world's largest O'Learys Sportsbar is now opened. The Sportsbar is located in the Mall of Scandinavia close to Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Of course the 14 Adventure Golf courses have a sports and Boston theme. That's pure O'Learys style!

Alton Towers in England is ranked 7th in a list of the top 25 amusement parks in Europe according to a study by Tripadvisor, published recently in the German online magazine TRAVELBOOK.de.
The two themed 9-hole Adventure Golf courses at Alton Towers - Extraordinary Golf - were built by City Golf Europe. We have designed and constructed over 200 such Adventure Golf courses across Europe.
